Your computer is consists of many components, and most of those will produce heat when your computer is running. Some of those heat-making components like graphics card and CPU will be extremely hot when you run some heavy processes such as playing high-quality graphics games.

But if your computer was designed very well, all of those hot air inside your computer case will be blown away by some correctly-placed cooling fan. Because if that heat is inside your computer for a long time, the temperature will be increasing and keep increasing, and very high temperature will damage components inside your computer. Therefore, keep your computer to stay cool is the best solution.

And here is some option you can do to keep your computer cool.

How to Keep Your Computer Cool

Give the way in and out for the air to flow.

Let The Air Flow

The best and easiest way to keep your computer's temperature remains cool is to give the way air to flow in and out.

Make sure there's nothing blocking the ventilation at the side of a computer case, and especially behind it. At least leave 2-3 inches of the hole that totally uncovered at the back of the computer, because most of the hot air is flowing out from the back side of the computer case.

And if your computer case is placed inside the desk, make sure the door is opened and have ventilation. To let the cool air going through inside the case. And if the door closed and no ventilation, hot air will be trapped inside and the temperature will keep increasing until you shut your computer down.

Clean the Dust

Dust can slow down the cooling fan or even make it jammed and stopped rotating.

The most effective way to clean the cooling fan inside the computer case is to open the case. Usually, there is more than 2 or 3 cooling fan inside the computer case.

Firstly, turn your computer off of course, and then open the case. Use a compressed air can, but make sure the fan is not rotating when you spray it. If your computer is awfully full of dust, take your computer case outside, because if you don't, the dust and all the dirt will scatter and spread all over the room and get back into the case (and make your room dirty too actually).

Upgrade CPU Cooler Fan

Your Computer's CPU is the most costly and sensitive components. And is more potentially producing heat than the others.

Find a cooling fan that compatible with your CPU socket, a fan that is better than the old fan that has installed in your computer.

Move your computer to a cool and clean room.

Move the Computer

When the position where you run the computer is scorching, full of dust, or dirty, its time for you to move it to a better place. A place that is cooler and cleaner, and maybe with air conditioner, or easily clean the room is sufficient.

Use a Water Cooling System

The heatsinking problem at the high-end machines can be a headache where the fastest and the most efficient fan still can't keep that computer cool. Therefore, installing a water cooling system can solve that problem. Water can transfer heat very well, and also drastically reduce CPU temperature.

Don't worry, these liquids are entirely located in an enclosed cooling system. This system will pump cool water to the CPU, absorb the heat, and pump-out hot liquids out.

Install Phase Change Unit

The phase change unit is currently the most drastic cooling system right now.

A phase change unit is practically a refrigerator for your computer. This system has the ability to cooling down your CPU (or even freeze it!).
